Editorial Policy
At HikeBikeAndDrive.com, we believe good gear advice and honest route information matter more than any partnership. Here’s how we work.
How We Test and Select Gear
Every product we recommend is either something we personally use on our own trips, or something we’ve researched thoroughly based on specifications, realworld reviews, and comparison with gear we know well. We prioritize durability, practicality, and value for long distance cycling, hiking, and camping not brand prominence.
Independence from Affiliate Partners
HikeBikeAndDrive.com participates in affiliate programs, which means we may earn a small commission when you purchase through certain links, at no extra cost to you. This never influences which products we recommend or how we rate them. We turn down or ignore commission opportunities for gear we don’t believe in, and we’re upfront when a recommendation is not affiliate linked.
Route Accuracy
All expedition and day routes on this site are based on routes we’ve personally ridden or hiked, or that have been carefully reviewed before publication. Trail and road conditions change due to weather, season, or maintenance work we recommend always checking current conditions before departure.
User Submitted Routes
Routes submitted by visitors are reviewed for completeness and plausibility before publication, but HikeBikeAndDrive.com cannot fully guarantee their accuracy. If you spot an error in a submitted or published route, please let us know via the contact page.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, a route detail, a gear spec, anything we correct it as soon as we’re made aware. Accuracy matters more to us than being right the first time.
